Alia Hazen. It started with her name. Our friends said, "when you are ready to sell your house and get into another, we know your agent, her name is Alia!" My husband and I had already started talking about when the right time to list our house would be and instead of driving ourselves crazy, we decided to call Alia to get her opinion.

When we opened our home to Alia we not only had the luck of meeting an incredible Realtor, but someone who would quickly become a dear friend. She cares. She is compassionate. She is a consummate professional (when the time calls for it). She answered all my questions (and boy did I have a ton) and laughed at my extensive list of things I wanted to fix around the house before listing, telling me which things I didn't really need to worry about. We listed in the beginning of July and the house sold just a bit over a month later.

That, of course, left us a bit under the gun to find our next house, but Alia kept cool and was confident she would find the right house for us. Boy was she right. When she took me to see the house that would become our next home, she told me she'd known it was ours before she and I had even started the day of looking at near 20 houses. I wasn't so sure, but she just told me to look past all the clutter and stuff and SEE my house. The very next day, we took my husband by to look at it and knew it was supposed to be ours.

She was so right.

2010

I decided to list my home with Alia because I had heard so much about her from friends and acquaintances. They all characterized her as a “go-getter.” Meeting Alia for the first time was so refreshing; she was comfortable with my dog and two kids. Abby, 6 ½ and Jack 2 ½ immediately adored her (and Reggie, the dog, too!). She even let them play with her iphone to keep them entertained during our home inspection, brave!

Her positive attitude helped me believe we would actually sell our house in this bad market. She did sell our house in only 2 months! She helped us find a new house in a fabulous neighborhood close to a park and elementary school for the kids. She is so much fun to drive around and look at houses with. She seems to know exactly what will and will not work for your family, excellent vision.

This is my first time selling and buying a home at the same time, and Alia has definitely taken the majority of the stress away from us. She is on top of it, and we are actually closing on a property in a 3 week time frame.
